This story shows an alternate ending to The One, the ending that would be very real. Maxon chose Kriss and America is in Carolina with her friends and family, heartbroken. Maxon and Kriss are getting married in May, in five months. Kriss is over the moon, but Maxon is distracted. He misses America and toys with the idea that he made a mistake. Can Maxon or America survive without the other?
