I am currently rewriting this, but feel free to give this draft a read :D Shadow's world is turned upside down when she found out her grandmother died. Her grandmother was like her second parent, a replacement for her dad who died before she was born. But then, on one fateful day, Shadow brings home a mirror and a storybook home from her grandmother's house, after she found a hidden note telling her to take it. After her grandmother's funeral, Shadow trips and falls into the mirror, taking her best friend, Alex, along with her. Now they find themselves in a new universe called Euphoria, in a kingdom known as Abesa. This tale is about a young girl who was born with very, very long hair, who was kidnapped at birth by a wicked, old hag. There are many versions of this tale, such as the King stealing lettuce from the hag's garden, and as a punishment the hag took his newborn daughter. Some involve the hag stealing the baby because of it's beauty and youth. Though many versions of this tale has been told over the years, the plot remains the same. It was about a young girl with long hair who was kidnapped at a young age by an old hag, and then confined in a tower with only one window. This version of the tale involves the hag's past. This is the tale of love, loss, and grief. And of course, a little bit of magic.
