"Maddie have you eaten?" Janet, Maddie's mum inquired through the phone which Maddie put on loudspeaker and placed on the marble kitchen table. Also on it was a calculator, a black pen and a notebook labeled "Rome wasn't built in a day".
Maddie mimicked her Mum's words used to the monotony of having being asked this question . There was an awkward silence and Maddie responded
"Yes Mum."She said in annoyance silently lifting the bin and pouring the food matter to the bottom of the bin as she manoeuvred her way through the trash.
"I left for you some mac and cheese,I'll be working late,please make sure you eat and darling please don't throw up."she said so concernedly not wanting to hang the phone.
Maddie smirked then laughed and cheekily bit her pen. She then wore her pressed on her spectacle frames to make them more stable on top her nose. Which she scratched and dived into her calculations.
