The world has fallen apart. Not like everyone had expected, (zombies/explosions/etc.) though. Political and racial chaos has swept what was formerly known as Earth. Governments abolished borders because of their high debt and inability to control their people. Money has lost all value and the only way to get what you want is to fight for it. Countries have fallen apart and clans have begun to form everywhere. The majority of these clans have ideas and plans to take over the world while killing mass amounts of people. Others want to destroy different races of humankind, but they all have one thing in common. They all want Deven DeMarcuz on their side, even if they have to force her to think their way. 
This is a future-America/world story about the leadership and sacrifice of one girl in the midst of the murder, life, love, and death that surround her. Her special knowledge makes her irresistible to all the other clans which means that they will go to no end to find her. With the help of her own collection of misfits, the Artillerose, she will fight for herself, her friends, and the existing world.

They had a hidden past, tied together by Olivia's deceased mother and toxic father. They had a hazy future, tied together by Alex's bastard of a father and Olivia's childhood nemesis. This was their reality. A reality for a boy with the prettiest bluebell eyes and a girl who would forever be a scarred beauty. ~~~ "You told me that you loved me," I said quietly as we walked across the golden fields, out of the nightmare of a territory. I peered at him to see his eyes half-closed, as if he was fighting and struggling to keep them open. "You told me to trust you." Yet, It was my fault after all, I decided to make a game out of it and someone else decided to use that to their advantage. If I was given the chance to change something from my past it would have been to prevent myself from all of the heartache that was to come. Ever since Moon vanished after killing Luke, she hasn't been spotted anywhere. Kai often wonders if she is somewhere far from where they are now, planning her next attack. When a series of strange events start happening around the town, Kai is certain that Moon is back and playing her game with them. In a way, he is right. But there are many things that he is also wrong about. During the midst of it all, Shintaro gets captured, sending Kai down a path of despair and hopelessness. He feels responsible for getting Shintaro back, but he doesn't know what he's up against. Thankfully, his friends don't let him do it by himself. As always, they have his back. And soon, new friends are there behind him, too. The group finds that Moon is behind all of this, but she isn't doing it for herself. She has Shintaro for a certain reason, and the friends are soon to find out what is at stake. The lives of others, including loved ones.
