'The sky had darkened and the moon and stars shone down on the tranquil ocean. It did look beautiful. Her eyes searched the gentle waves, looking for who knows what. A mermaid perhaps? Meri laughed at the thought. Until she saw something in the waves. What was it? She leaned closer, her nose squished against the window as she squinted at the ocean. It had disappeared- no wait! There it was again! A tail? No, it had to be a dolphin's tail. Whatever it was disappeared beneath the waves again. And then like a dolphin- it jumped up out of the water. Meri could see it cleared now. It truly did look like- like a. But it couldn't be.' Meet Meredith 'Meri' Murphy. She just moved to Hawaii and is less than pleased at having to leave all her friends behind. That is until she meets the Pride of the Ocean herself.

A story similar to a classic fairy tale, but with a major twist ... What if the little mermaid were a deep sea merman instead? And what if the human he fell in love with went to live with him in the sea instead? Though born as a regular human on land, Henrietta always felt as if she were suffocating. She struggled to survive and belong among her kind. On a night when she sought to end her life at sea, she was rescued by Elsen, a merman who had once felt the same as her. Despite coming from different worlds, their shared experiences instantly built a bridge between them. When misfortune struck again, Henrietta lost her home and was driven to the edge once more. Seeing that she had nowhere else to go, Elsen brought her to his home in the deep sea. Although the ocean depths were tranquil and soothing, Henrietta's heart was still plagued with worries. And she soon discovered that Elsen also had yet to defeat his own demons. Will these two broken souls finally heal and come to love not only each other but themselves as well?
