She was about to turn the doorknob when his next words froze her in place. "How do you think you'll sister will react if she finds out what you do?" asked Lucas. She slowly turned to face the two with a raised brow, "Meaning?" "Think about it," urged Cole, "How do you think everyone would react if they found out what you do during your spare time, especially your sister." She narrowed her eyes ."Are you blackmailing me?" she asked crossing her arms and raising her chin. "No, I never said that." Cole held up his hands yet grinning mischievously. "We're just saying that it would be in your best interest, along with ours if you joined us." shrugged Lucas. "You can't prove anything," she bluffed. 16-year-old Ryan is probably the only orphan in all of England whose parents are still alive. At least, that's what his visions are telling him. When Ryan finds out about a school that no one's ever heard of, he knows that school is somehow the key to finding his parents. But when he finally makes it through the wolf forest to get there, nothing goes as planned. Because there is a reason Ryan grew up separated from his family and the life he should've known. And a reason why it might've been for the best if he'd never found his way back home again. There is already someone expecting his arrival, someones who's ready to risk it all for revenge, and when Ryan wakes up ater being attacked, he's not entirely himself anymore. And whatever has become of him, it's clear that he's now a threat to everyone around him. Turns out Ryans parents are the leaders of a pack of werewolves, deadset on keeping the school and their whole society hidden from humans, and protected from vampires. In this new world, where everyone has a different motive to want him gone, Ryan has to fight for his right to stay with the werewolves and stay in control of his own self, otherwise he'll never see his parents again, and he might just be what causes the destruction of the whole werewolf pack for good. ***** I would say this story is fine for ages 14 and up. This story is finished, but in Swedish ;) It's around 110k words and I have now finished translating it into English! I have currently uploaded more than half of the book (I'd say the midpoint is around chapter 44), and the whole thing will be uploaded probably before August. This story takes place in northern England, and I am obviously not English! So if you are from England, and have some feedback for me regarding use of words and such, please let me know, I greatly appreciate it.Complete
An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!Complete
