Sybil is a girl who has never seen land. Her, along with four hundred other people, are living on the sea in a metal tank that was made to protect them all from something no one but the people in charge know of. Sybil has lived wondering what it would be like to step on land and feel the grass beneath her feet.
With the secret books her mother left her, Sybil has filled her mind with everything she could about the thing she's never seen. But she has no way of knowing for sure that its real unless she see's in herself. But the only thing holding her back is the metal prison she lives in. So as she waits for the right moment to escape, something happens. Someone breaks into the tank, and he is the only way for Sybil to escape. That is, if she can convince him to help her.

And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033. Mr. Knight has found 19 children, and Mr. Douglas, the leader of the other group, has found 10. That means... the 30th child is out there somewhere. Who will it be?
