Hero's are things of the past, now that nuclear war has broken out in almost every part of the world. All of america had become a toxic wasteland, full of mutations of animals and bacteria that used to be something else.

The thing is, humankind was also affected by the waves of nuclear energy released by the bombs. Certain humans' bodies reacted to the energy in odd ways, giving them an affinity to certain elements, or just giving them incredible abilities.. Though the normal humans were already afraid of the attacks from other places, they grew to fear the Mutant Humans even more than their original attackers.

The new ruling order in America had become the Churches founded by priests who preached to the normal humans, telling them that the Mutant Humans were actually just sent from hell in order to get rid of humanity.. The Churches lied to the citizens, and the citizens believed them.

Countless innocent Mutant Humans were burned at the stake, fed to Mutant beasts, and killed in various other ways. The Churches had their own array of Mutant Humans in which they called the "Blessed Knights", these knights helped in tracking down other Mutant Humans.... The world was in ruins, the only way for Mutant Humans to survive was become a Churches dog and hunt their own kind as a Blessed Knight, or sneak through the shadows and try to live peacefully.

Humanity used to thrive in 2035 until a group of scientists started playing God. This science team was recruited by all the top world leaders and they've begun receiving demands for a super soldier, and they began experimenting on animals, which gave the scientists expected results, but like all experiments, there was a chance for failure. The humanoid animals, or Anthros for short, started getting smarter, faster than the scientists expected, or reacted. The Anthros broke free and took what was left of the 'White Mist,' the substance that created them, and put it into the planet's air supply. Long story short, most animals worldwide have begun transforming into Anthros, and started devastating the world's militaries before attacking cities. Humanity is now facing extinction with their last millions while the Anthro civilization is over 2 Billion strong and counting. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were. The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands. With death seeming inevitable for human kind, can nothing stop humanity from extinction? Zero has just graduated from high school with good marks and a scholarship. In an alternate timeline, the human race found a way to create superpowers. By extracting energy from stars and inserting that energy into humans, 'powers' were created. Powers allowed humans to gain unnatural abilities such as flight, invisibility, super strength or in other words, superpowers. Of course, with the introduction of something so revolutionary, people rose up in the hundreds of thousands in an event known as the Great Rebellion. The insurgents banded together under a single banner and became collectively known as the Shadow, marking the beginning of the Cosmic Wars. Out of the darkness, the Gazers were born. Using what remained of the power technology, the Gazers singlehandedly perished the evil and ended the conflict. However, there was a price to pay. Powers put a toll on the human body and had serious mental and physical repercussions. The solution was to recruit children from the age of 13 to 18 and train them so their bodies would adapt to their powers, eventually becoming immune to all negative side effects. The end of the Cosmic Wars brought forth a new age of peace and prosperity that the world had never seen before. However, the long reign of the Gazers has already begun to crumble, cracks showing up within the very thread of society. Their rule will not last for much longer. The Shadow will rise once again. Or in other words, my unintentional and accidental ripoff of My Hero Academia :/ Blurb is a work in progress

(This story contains extremely sensitive topics) Around 20 years ago, an unknown virus plagued the Earth, one that attacks genetic codes and destroys whatever it infiltrates. Humans, animals, plants, you name it. In order to adapt to this living nightmare, daily routines suffered an overhaul. But even so cities fell, nations were destroyed, countries obliterated by the scourge of war. Humanity driven to the brink of extinction. In a desperate attempt to save the remnants of mankind, "Colonies" were created. Strategically placed in areas the infected are naturally unable to congregate in. For some unknown reason, they disintegrate or break themselves apart in desperate attempts to escape the inside of a Colony. On the flip-side, they often create nests where they're attracted to others of their kind. The motives that result in such behavior have yet to be discovered. These are called "Contamination Zones". Pools of infection that produce genetic amalgams beyond human comprehension. The fuel for nightmares that plague even the strongest of minds. In addition, several of these Colonies and outposts have started to rapidly perish. Dozens of them breached all over the continent. The infected seem to be growing stronger. This world has given Kayden Moss gentle insight into it's offers. It has made him travel from place to place, Colony or not, in order to simply awaken to fight another day. Eventually, at 19 years old, he came across a peculiar Colony named Zamaton, where he's lived ever since. News of the breaches reach the Warden of the Colony, Rhys, who demands measures to ensure everyone's safety start taking effect. Kayden however, is unaware of them, getting summoned into Rhys's office without previous notice. This only occurs for important matters, or for him to receive scolding for his actions. Whatever the case, he's sure the news are sour. Depending on the situation, the breaches might remain away from the Colony. Or so it seems.
