(Sequel to Everyone Deserves The Flame) (( Don't read unless you've read the first book, it will spoil some spots))
Iris has been spinning downhill. It seems like life just refuses to give her a break. Every time something good starts happening something worse comes right at her. Iris is beginning to feel like maybe she's just not meant to be happy, and that she doesn't deserve to have a good life. After her father got out of jail, and attacked her she hasn't been the same. She's always on edge. Afraid that her father will end up hurting her new found family. People keep telling her that she's safe, but can she believe them?
Patrick would do anything to see Iris happy again. After Iris being attacked by her her father this seems to lead to a whole new set of problems. Iris closed herself off to everybody on eve again, and Patrick just wants to be let in. She doesn't act like her normal self, and something always seems to have her on edge. No matter how much Patrick shows Iris he's there for her, she closes herself off even more. It seems like the more he pulls, the harder she she pushes him away. Will Patrick be able to break the old Iris out?
