I'd been Alexander's best friend since he transferred here in freshman year. Only one year afterwards, Thomas Jefferson, the son of a rich businessman, came into our lives. A rivalry was instantly caused, fueled by the hatred each of them felt for the other. Although Jefferson was entirely a mystery to everyone at school, that didn't stop my best friend becoming particularly interested in him during our junior year.
