Rose Hathaway has run away from home with her son, Tyson. She raises him by himself, and Tyson grew up hating his father, Dimitri. Rose continues to try to survive in the city of New York, but she's always missing Dimitri, and one day, she goes back to him. Tyson and Teresa soon goes to the vampire academy built for Moroi and Dhampir only. Tyson's girlfriend, Teresa, gets taken away by Strigoi, and Tyson has no idea if Teresa is alive or not. He leaves home to find Teresa, with nothing but a backpack and some money that he had saved up. Will Tyson find Teresa in time? Or will his luck end? And even if he does find her, how will they escape?
