There was a small insignificant mash of southern zones that hade been void of life for 5 years. Since it was void, there was no reason for BL/ind to run recon. In the years that followed the bombings, and the constant fires the south was barely touched. Leaving the flora, and fauna untouched. Along with the people who left society long before the Industry took over.
