19 year old, Amelia Ross, has felt out of place in her small town of Belfast, Maine her whole life. Fed up with her everyday life in her small town, she packs up everything and moves across the country to Los Angeles, California. Amelia has no plan except to find a new life that's worth living. In Los Angeles, she becomes acquainted with 20 year old, blonde YouTube famous, Sam Golbach. Sam befriends Amelia and helps her find the missing piece in her life, which may or may not be a person named Colby Brock, Sam's best friend since 8th grade.

Colby and Amelia grow close and a friendship blossoms. Together, the two of them face every problem head on, including Amelia's ex-friends, huge series of pranks from Colby's roommates, and the internet, while forming a strong relationship neither of them could imagine.
