Eclipse

"Do you trust me?"

Luke would laugh if it weren't for the seriousness of the situation. He didn't trust anyone more than K. He nodded immediately, bringing his own hand up to place atop K's on his cheek. "Of course."

K blushed, gripping Luke's hand harder. "Then trust me when I say that we will leave this place and live happily. We're going to get a mansion, remember, Lu?"

Luke giggled in response, K grinning back.

"And a big garden, with lots of flowers."

"And the most beautiful butterflies." Luke nuzzled his cheek into K's palm. "We'll help lots of people, right?"

K nodded. "You and I- we're going to be something great in the future. That," he nudged his forehead with his own, eyes boring into Luke's. "I promise you."

And as K closed the little space they had between them, the promise rang in their heads, giving both boys hope that they would indeed have their happy ending.
