After Stephan's death Alaric sees that Caroline is unhappy in Mystic Falls. He suggests to her to leave the town behind and start making a life for herself that will bring her joy. She will always be welcome to visit him and the twins. So, Caroline goes too New Orleans to find Klaus. Soon after, their relationship turns into a blooming romance. But, when Klaus's enemies begin closing in on him, he is worried for Caroline's safety. Klaus erases Caroline's memories of him and tells her to forget about him and move on. But, did his actions create a new kind of enemy or will their love be strong enough to overcome this barrier.

Disclaimer: As the writer of this story I encourage readers to have watched the Vampire Diaries and the Originals since the story will be taking characters and referring to  past events from the TV shows.

Who will she choose. A few things to note in my story because I can't be normal: 1. The plot is different after season 4. 2. A few years had passed. 3. Klaus and Hayley never did it and Hope doesn't exist. 4. Klaus and Caroline never met again in season five. 5. Bonnie never died. 6. The originals show never happened. 7. Caroline is my favorite character. 8. I'm a newish writer and still learning so please give me feedback. 9.
