Light had died and Ryuk was left to roam Earth all alone now that his holder of the deathnote had perished; Trapped in his own dark, crummy world to waste and rot away.
At least that was how it was for the first couple of years that he had decided to stay up in the Shinigami World.
He decided to do what he had done the first time with Light again, but this time in America rather than Japan, a land not aware of the presence of shinigami, a perfect place to roam.
But then, he meets Isabelle, a girl about to turn his world upside down.
