what truly is Decency
my mom struck her face up,
shuffled her shoulders
with a stern look.
I heard her scream,
"you ain't leaving my house
with such ugly steam".
And she ends it with,
'No one is going shame this family.'
As I grew up slowly
I cared mostly of d showy.
My face
my cloth
all of my physical
I couldn't say
she made a mistake
I dare not even say
she was wrong.
But she,as the world,
defines beauty as the crave
for physical upliftment
and what happens to the soul,
your inner_self with no movement,
placed on mute as the flesh moves
in its lost.
Dressing for the world to acclaim
and roting as people depict.
What makes you want to grow, glow, crawl, float, cross,
scream,manipulate and defect.
Defeating fear and facing the
strangest of world's battle.
is it de-saintly or de-scently
is it seen or is it perceived
is there a difference or is there none.
is it just mere misinterpretation
or is there more.
Work on yourself
it's where your being rises from
it's your whole
your physical can only push you
through great gates but your being
makes you part of the great.
for there lies decency
there comes glory.
Most of this is sad, any TW will be at the start of them
I'm a 17 y/o (Started this when I was 15) just wanting to share some of my poetry with people other than my friends :]
