Your family made a contract with the Malfoys that you'll carry the Malfoy Heir during your seventh year at Hogwarts.
You see the Malfoys and Thornestones knew there was a war heading their way. The Thornestones along with the Malfoys became worried. Desperate for an heir to continue their bloodline for precautions.
That's when they both made a contract.
It was just the time to tell you and Draco Malfoy what was going on.
The one thing is that during harsh times it's quite dangerous to conceive a child due to blackmail or the possibility of wanting to murder the child, yet the Malfoys nor the Thornestones will be in harms way when protecting themselves.
