It was the girl who started it all. 

Alina had been living a moderately happy life before she came along. Sure, Alina had never left the Outpost where she had been born, and sure, she'd never make a spot on the Honour Guard like she wanted, but she still found happiness as a low ranking soldier in the Empyrical Army. 

That was, of course, until a series of rather odd occurences. Her brother's disappearence, increasing attacks  by the Reapers...and in the middle of it all? The girl, a mysterious escapee who Alina had somehow become entirely enraptured with.
