Excerpt:
I spun around disoriented, not sure which street to follow or sign to read first; now I know why my friends all consider me directionally challenged. I decide to just go with the green light and cross the street making but half a step before slamming into something hard and human.
"Sorry!" I squeak, noticing I had turned into a tall, long haired boy. He looked to be about my age and didn't even throw me a glance before rushing off down the street to my left.
The sound of a horn makes me jump out of my daydream as I cast my eyes away from the direction he went. I notice a small notebook near my feet that I was oblivious to before. Had it been there before? Or had Mr. I'm-in-a-rush-get-out-of-my-way dropped it?
