Carmon woke with a gasp, sweat trickling down her face.
"Just another nightmare.." She would remind herself as she stood. Her dirty blonde hair was tied into a tight bun, it was originally a lot lighter but gunk from her travels darkened it. Her bangs would hang limp in front of her clear blue eyes, and her eyes would point to her bag she had used for a pillow. She picked it up, slinging it over her shoulders and onto her stained jacket. It was supposed to be white, but it was permanently dyed crimson red and mud brown. She adjusted her black sneakers and noticed another tear near the ankle of her blue skinny jeans.
Carmons head shot up as she heard groans in the near distance. She opened the shops door and ran out, seeing a hoard of the uglies in the horizon.

I stood there leaning against the door for a second. Then screams reached my ear. I looked to where it came from and saw a girl at the other end of the hall laying on the ground with a gaping hole in her stomach. Three other students had ripped away at the girl's insides and were chewing it up. One paused for a second and looked up at me. He stood up and I panicked. I knew him. He was in my chorus class. August was his name. He had blond, curly hair, blue eyes, and was probably the tallest person in the entire school. August opened his now bloody mouth and let out a screech that sent chills down my spine. He leaped over the other two cannibals and the now dead girl and broke into a sprint. As soon as he leaped I had also started running. I made it out of the 300 hall and hid behind the vending machine that stood at the entrance of the hall. Seconds later, August was standing just inches from me. He looked around and I stayed as quiet and still as I possibly could. I didn't even breathe. After what seemed like years of waiting, August turned back toward the dead girl and walked out if sight. I stayed where I was for a little bit longer until my lungs demanded I start breathing again. Directly in front of me was the library and cafeteria. To the right of the cafeteria was the auditorium and the music hall. "If I could just make it to the chorus room maybe I'll find some of my friends," I thought to myself. I was about to take my first step when I looked down at my shoes. They were brand new and when I walked, they squeaked. I took my shoes off as quietly as I could. I had my Captain America socks on and I knew I'd have to take those off as well. I just couldn't risk slipping. Once my feet were bare I took off in a quiet sprint towards the music hall. How awesome is that cover though!? Lol my dad made it.Complete

She is Fatal to Death (Standalone Story)
She's dead by the third chapter. Okay, it's a bit more complicated than that. Okay, it's A LOT more complicated than that. Renata wants nothing more than to pay her bills through her mildly boring office job and figure out whether she is still in love with her best friend. The latter half of that desire is just a sneak peak into her messy life-and it's only getting messier. Considering the paranormal world she is about to dive head first into, she will come to realize that figuring out her heart may just be the easiest part of this journey. Right as Renata grabbed the ingredients, she turned to put them next to the stove, where a clean, plastic cutting board awaited. But as she moved, she was confronted by a stranger, an intruder, standing mere inches from her. Before she could scream, he was on her, slamming her against the fridge. Her back flashed with sharp pain. Her eyes pricked with fear as she drank in his uncovered face. Deeply tanned skin. Ruby red eyes-ruby red eyes? Thick, slashing eyebrows. Flat, broad nose. Buzzcut. Handsome. That was as far as she would go in complimenting him considering this guy held a knife to her throat. When he spoke, his voice came out like thunder. It held a thousand threats and a thousand secrets. It held promise of pain if provoked. "If you scream," he warned, mouth pulled in a slight snarl, "this ends quickly." She didn't dare nod against the blade. He noticed and amusement lit up for just a second in those devilish eyes. Oh, whoever the fuck this was, she already hated him. Considering her predicament, panic was the most prominent emotion coursing through her at the moment. "Good." Ok, Who Got Bitten?
Right now, I'm squatting in a pile of human waste, desperately trying to get a signal on my phone. My friends are watching me reluctantly, their faces stained with blood and what I only hope is dirt. The light from my phone is illuminating their faces, casting light on the looks of horror that I have come to know all too well. My best friend is cradling her left arm, bandaged with a torn piece of cloth in hopes of stopping the blood flow. My sister can barely walk, and I think her hand is broken. She looks on the verge of tears. As we calm down, catching our breaths, I give up looking at my phone. I slowly turn to them, my own face crusted with blood. I look at each of them, one by one. The bus ride to the retirement home had been uneventful-the low hum of chatter, the occasional burst of laughter, and the rhythmic bumps of the road beneath the tires. Star sat by the window, watching the world blur past, her fingers absentmindedly tapping against her knee. Beside her, Alin leaned in with a smirk. "You look tense," he teased, nudging her shoulder. She rolled her eyes. "I'm fine." From the seat in front of them, Stanley snorted. "She's just nervous because she has to talk to actual people today." Star shot her brother a glare. "Not everyone enjoys socializing as much as you do, Stanley." Alin chuckled, draping an arm lazily over the back of the seat. "Come on, Star. It's just one day with a bunch of sweet old folks. What's the worst that could happen?" She sighed, resting her forehead against the glass. If only they knew. The retirement home loomed at the end of the road, a grand but weathered building with ivy creeping up its stone walls. It looked peaceful enough-nurses bustling about, elderly residents chatting on the front porch, the faint scent of flowers drifting in the warm afternoon air. A normal visit. A normal trip. The Touch of Infection
Carisa's been running for her life the past two years. Loosing her loved ones and anyone she grows close to. The apocalypse was caused by an alien raise coming to earth and proclaiming they'll fix the planet. Their way to 'fix' it being destroying humanity with a plague. However they didn't expect the human body to be as persistent as it is, the infection they spread mutating and making humans reanimate with a hunger for flesh. They thought they could contain it, control it even, but it's spreading faster than they thought. The world is dying faster than ever before. And Carisa only want to survive, to make it to the next day, bumping into an Alien she thought she'd be petrified. But upon further inspection... their not that much different that humans. Curiosity at its peek with both of them and so she gains a tail always creeping behind her. The aliens just won't let her go. Story is written on my free time so it has a lot of typos, sorry. Ezera spotted movement out of the corner of his eye, squinted as he approached one of the taller apartment complexes 'is that...' coming to a halt near the front of the building he quickly rolls down his window "ASHER?" Asher fumbles his grip in surprise and slips, falling a couple feet down onto the harsh pavement. "Asher what the hell are you doing hanging from a window?" he said as he slammed on the brakes and stuck his head further out the window to confirm it was in fact Asher. All of this commotion was starting to attract a small crowd and a few of 'them' started to lumber in the direction of the car. "Get in the fucking car dumbass". Without a second thought Asher grabbed his stuff and sprinted towards the car. Once he had dove in through the lowered back window the car took off again. "Only if you would have ran that fast at the tournament" he said to lighten the very serious mood. "If" Asher replies. ---- Once fierce rivals, Asher and Ezera now face a world turned upside down. A world where the dead walk and the living are no longer who they used to be. Together with Ezeras younger sister, they must navigate a nightmarish landscape where former friends and family have become relentless killers. As they battle both the undead and their own fears, the trio must uncover the dark secret behind the apocalypse or perish trying. Amid the chaos, unexpected bonds form, and sparks fly between Asher and Ezera, adding a glimmer of hope and love in a world where every moment could be their last.
A Different Virus - Laura's Story
This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent?
