"How in the world are you still alive?" The shorter more sophisticated man asks.
"Umm huh?" My failed attempt at a reply.
"Your friend says you where left on the floor of your bedroom...with no pulse or indications of living". He informs. I looked over at Liam who was looking down at his feet, not wanting to see my expression. Before I could catch my breath from last sentence, the doctor vacated the dimly lit, newly silent room."

Liam closed the door behind and walked closer, step by step, striking fear in the girl. Nora backed away, her body hitting against the icy wall. He stared at her, his deep and cello voice resounding in the room. "Nora Shahan, have you forgotten what I told you three years ago? Don't provoke me. But time and time again you kept testing my patience." He picked up her jaw harshly and continued. "Tell me, how should I punish you?" Nora met his eyes which was filled with a coldness making her hair stand on end. This was the real Liam, cold and heartless. She was foolish to think he had changed for better. A pang of bitterness swelled in her heart and she closed her eyes, letting the memories from three years ago flood her mind. - Three years ago, Liam had warned her to never appear in front of him and Nora had been well behaved, staying as far as away from him. Whenever he'd go north, she'd go south. Even when they were in the same class, she'd stay at the opposite end. But fate played a cruel joke on her when she got locked down at his place. He assumed it as one of her tricks to climb into his bed. But she was certain she had fallen into an elaborate trap. With his family using despicable means to destroy everyone around him, can Liam successfully get her out of that hell house? How will Nora survive living under the same roof with the person who's been nothing but a nightmare all her life while learning his darkest secrets that would entangle them together and bring their entire world crashing down with it? I look up at him, his face nothing but a hazy memory. His head is tilted down towards me and I think about how odd it must be for him too. If we kissed, would we find each other's lips? Would it be as natural as breathing? He's mere inches from me and just the presence of his body is suffocating. I don't even have to see his face to know how well he makes my body react. Goosebumps trickling down my arms, and the hairs on the back of my neck rising like sunflowers facing the sun. It's as if I can really see his face. His features and the looks he gives. It's so familiar, so in-tune with me, that I feel like I've always seen it. I can feel his eyes set on me, my figure under his gaze. I can feel the tension in the air and I'm not even sure if I'm breathing. "That necklace around your neck," he scoffs. "What about it?" I ask, my voice low. "I've seen it every single time I've seen you and it drives me insane. It's the one thing I can see below your face." Something clicks into place for me. The puzzle pieces align, and I feel alive. "Then take it off and put your hand there, I can wear that instead," I grin. __ Scarlett Moore. Olivia and Ethan's story didn't begin with fireworks. It wasn't a whirlwind romance or an earth-shattering moment of fate. Instead, it started with something simple-two souls crossing paths at just the right time. They met years ago in a way neither of them had planned. It was during a travel retreat, a small group of adventurous strangers brought together for an experience that promised to be both unforgettable and fleeting. A week of exploring a foreign city, learning new cultures, sharing laughter over candlelit dinners, and stealing moments in between. Back then, Olivia had been drawn to Ethan's effortless charm-the way he could talk to anyone, the way his laughter filled a room, the way he always seemed to be looking for the next adventure. And Ethan? He admired Olivia's quiet confidence, her love for creativity, and the way she saw beauty in the smallest things. For seven days, they wandered through bustling streets and hidden alleyways, beneath the glow of city lights and along tranquil coastlines. There had been something unspoken between them, something simmering beneath the surface, but life had a cruel sense of timing. As quickly as the week had begun, it ended. No promises were made. No goodbyes were dramatic. They simply parted, believing that if fate had other plans, it would find a way. But fate, as it seemed, had other ideas. Months turned into years. The real world took over-jobs, responsibilities, the distractions of everyday life. They lost touch, caught up in their own separate journeys. And yet, here they were. On a remote island, thousands of miles away from where their story had begun. The moment Olivia saw him, it was as if time folded in on itself. Every unsaid word, every missed opportunity, every "what if" that had ever lingered between them-it all led to this. This moment. A second chance, written in the tides.

She swears she hates him. He's convinced he hates her more. But when secrets, lies, and late-night whispers begin to blur the line between enemies and something they wouldn't even consider, neither of them is ready for what's coming. *** Aliana is loud, impulsive, and dangerously unpredictable. She lies when she's scared, smiles when she's breaking, and keeps everyone away with her endless sarcasm and sharp tongue. She doesn't need anyone. Especially not him. Ali is silent storms and cold stares. The boy with the bad reputation, a past no one talks about, and a temper that makes people flinch. He wants nothing to do with drama, especially when it wears red lipstick and calls him names. They can't stand each other. So why do they keep ending up alone in the same room? Why does every fight feel like foreplay? And why does hating him hurt more than it should? ~~~~~~ He kisses me, again and again, raw and consuming, and then pulls away; I can feel his green eyes piercing my soul. "What you told me last time, say it again," he whimpers breathlessly. "What?" I manage to ask, confused, and reel him in again for another kiss. He pulls back again, his breath hot against my skin. "That you hate me, tell me that you hate me." "I hate you," I tell him almost instantly, the lie burning on my tongue. He kisses me harder and more hungrily, and the words slip out again from my tongue: "I hate you. I hate you. I hate you." His murmurs deepen into groans, and at this exact moment, I ask myself how I'm still standing, still breathing, still present. ~~~~~~

"Sir here is your card. I'll head to my room. Good night sir, Ms. Collins Have a wonderful night" He smiled at her and Jane replied to him with a beautiful smile. The smile I've been dying to see. Suddenly the smile faded when she saw me staring at her. "Where's my key? I need to rest" She asked John before he left and that question brought a goofy smile on my face. "Sorry Ms. Collins, but Mr. Greenwood said you both will be sharing the penthouse" The shock on her face made me want to laugh out loud but her gaze was. If only her gaze could kill. I'll be 6fts down by now. "What!" She yelled. "Came down Jane. It's not as if we're going to share a bed" I replied nonchalantly. But that won't be a bad idea. "You're unbelievable. You perv. Can't I have my space? Gosh!" She said angrily. John noticed the tension between us and decided to walk away. He was about to leave but Jane stopped him again. "John why don't you share a suite with Mr. Greenwood and I'll take your room," She said smiling like she just solved a puzzle. John turned to look at me and I gave him the ' say yes and I'm gonna kill you' look. "Ms. Collins, don't worry you're going to be fine. Bye!" John said and rushed to his room. Good choice my friend, good choice. I turn to face Jane with a smile of satisfaction. "Ms. Collins, I guess you're stuck with me," I said making her clench her teeth. "Am I allowed to sleep in the hotel's washroom? Trust me the last thing I wanna do is to share a space with you" She said and walked towards our suite. We got inside and our luggage was brought up almost immediately. Jane took her luggage and entered her room without saying goodnight. "Goodnight to you too. Don't forget we have a meeting at 8 am," I said out loud for her to hear and she shut her door with force making a loud bang.
