Odell and Aeilani (aye-lani) were close since they were toddlers. Mid 7th grade they drifted apart. Aeilani went to a new school for 8th grade in Canada.
Finally they crossed paths in high school. Now, they were ex best friends.
After Aeilani's middle school graduation in Canada, they never saw each other again, until Aeilani came back to Louisiana to visit everyone but before she left again Odell saw her at a party. They slept together that night. At the time they were both drunk.
