Daisy is just about ready to give up after losing her sister while on the run from the dead. Unsure whether the younger girl is still alive, her faith is slowly slipping. Everything is starting to fall apart, from the lack of food and water to sleep deprivation. But even with humanity heading towards extinction, she finds companionship amongst a group of survivors, a certain sheriff being the most comforting of all.

"You were so oblivious, Grimes," I spoke in an amused tone, the faint smile that tugged at my lips now spreading into a wide grin as he looked down at the dirt sheepishly. Rick cleared his throat as a painful silence filled the night air.
"Not oblivious....", he argued softly, lifting his head back up to look at me, pale blue eyes meeting green. "Just worried it wasn't real."
