Meaningless Petals {The Arcana}

We're so used to seeing flowers as innocent and beautiful. It's hard to imagine them as the very things that could end up killing us with an unsatisfactory death.
The Hanahaki Disease is an illness born from a one-sided love, where the patient vomits and/or coughs up flower petals when they suffer from said one-sided love. The flowers grow around their lungs and they never stop, that is unless the feelings are returned romantically. Of course, the flowers can always be removed surgically, but along with the absence of the flowers comes the disappearance of all romantic feelings the patient has for their love. If the love is not requited, the flowers will continue to clog airways and grow until the infected person dies.

Asra can literally die from unrequited love.
