There's something that's been bottled up by people the girl had never thought twice about her loyalty to.
But a war is unknowingly coming, and a Choosing Day decides the fate of the girl. The same Choosing Day as Will's.
And they're both chosen to be apprenticed by Halt.
But with plans brewing in the ruins of Gorlan, unknown monsters roaming Araluen, lords dying like flies, where does this put this girl?
Right in the middle.
Secrets will be revealed.
Trouble strikes the unlikely.
Halt has to fight for them both.

A Ranger's Apprentice for life. (A Ranger's Apprentice FanFic) Book 1
Keira, a girl growing up in the Redmont fief, has always longed to be a Ranger's Apprentice. When she overhears a rumor that the local Ranger is in need of an Apprentice, Keira tells the Baron what she wants. After a long struggle, the Ranger steps in and decides to accept her, more out of pity than want or need . Gradually, however, the pair grow closer and can tolerate each other's company. This story will take them on many adventures together, so strap in or pull up a chair, get comfortable, turn on some music and prepare to go on the journey of your life. ((Original idea and RA characters belong to John Flannagan, author of the Ranger's Apprentice Series. I own Fury, Keira, Silean, and a few others.)) ________________________________________________________________ Almost 6 years after this Fan-Fiction began, I have decided to rewrite it, more for personal reasons than anything else. Since my life is significantly more busy than it used to be (becoming an adult will do that to you), it is going to take a very, very long time for me to re-write this. However, I am still going to try and re-write it. :) ________________________________________________________________ Sequel: http://www.wattpad.com/story/9836573-a-ranger%27s-apprentice-for-eternity-a-ranger%27sComplete

Neither man is surprised by the request, yet neither is certain they want their only child in the line of fire. They both know all too well the dangers a Ranger can face. Despite being the future ruler, Horace wishes for him to train to be a Knight as well. We realize that the 12th book has been released and that storyline differs quite a lot from what we've written, but we actually wrote this a long time ago well before 12 came out, just never put it to paper before now. ****Complete

The World of The Ranger (continued)
a continuation of happy__writing's book The World of the Ranger. I will be posting chapters 7 and beyond, whereas her profile only has Chapters 1 through 6. Please keep in mind that NONE of the original characters from this book are my own and all chapters are dedicated to happy__writing, as they are the original creator of the book and it's characters, except for the ones that John Flanagan has created. With these in mind, I leave you with the advice that if you have not yet read the first six chapters of The World of the Ranger, then I suggest that you do so now, because you will not be able to understand anything without them. Happy__writing is very busy nowadays and has passed their story on to me. I hope you all understand and will not be angry with happy__writing.Complete

On a quest to save Halt, both will need to make sacrifices and stay one step ahead of time. Can they do it, and will it be too late? And if they can, will that be the end? *All characters belong to John Flanagan. If I create a character, I will mention it in the same chapter!*Complete
