The life of this girl was out of the ordinary, secretive, very few knew that the grim, dark and cunning Halt had been raising a girl for fifteen years.
There's something that's been bottled up by people the girl had never thought twice about her loyalty to.
But a war is unknowingly coming, and a Choosing Day decides the fate of the girl. The same Choosing Day as Will's.
And they're both chosen to be apprenticed by Halt.
But with plans brewing in the ruins of Gorlan, unknown monsters roaming Araluen, lords dying like flies, where does this put this girl?
