This is a story by my best friend. I'm posting it for her so yeah. Lawrence Kansas was no longer safe. A series of killings had broken out across the city causing people in and around the town to be afraid. The media called him The Hunter due to the fact he shot and gutted his victims like animals. There was no pattern to when he struck, but who he hunted was similar. They were all abusers in a way. Some abused money, some power, some people. Some abused drugs, some abused alcohol. But he wasn't all that was to fear, Castiel Novak was a serial killer who had crossed the borders of so many states there was almost nowhere he hadn't been. He killed the rich, well those who pretended to care but didn't, who were fake. He was practically untraceable. The only reason they know his name is because he gave it to them along with his photo and he still didn't get caught. The two killers were different in many ways, one had just started while the other had been doing it long enough to give his name and escape. But they had something in common. Besides their victim types having a small overlap, they both left notes. Castiel wrote his in ink on business cards, while The Hunter finger painted his in blood. But they both left notes, taunting the police most of the time. But then to everyone's horror, they began to write to each other, taunting, challenging, and complementing? As Castiel edged his way closer to Lawrence, many feared what would happen when the two killers finally met. WARNING this is a Destiel fic, has MxM action, has lots of violence and gore. It is also really depressing with thoughts of self loathing and mentions of suicide. Do not read if those could trigger you. But I promise it has its good moments and is a fun story so I hope you enjoy the ride!

"have you tried turning it off and on again?" Cas and Dean. Dean and Cas. You would never see one without the other. The Winchester boys had lived next door to Novaks for as long as anyone in the sleepy little town could remember. Cas and Dean were always best friends, joined at the hip was an understatement. It wasn't until they got into high school, they finally acted upon their feelings of intense love for each other. Inseparable, utterly, stupidly and madly in love. They were both shattered, but their broken edges fit together perfectly. Both suffering from abusive households, both with a brother that they'd die for. Meant for each other. Until that fateful day, when Cas woke up on their 2 and 1/2 year anniversary, after the best night of his life, and found Dean gone, no note, and his place on the bed cold. Our story takes place 6 years later, when the Winchesters are back in town for college, and the Novaks never left. It's time for this sleepy town to be reawakened. Dean and Cas are 23, Sam is 22, Gabe is 24 Deans also more like his early season self, y'know when he was still vaguely in touch with his emotions (PSA: Trigger warnings will be at the top of each chapter if needed, stay safe my silver nuggets. Please. Nothing graphic, just description from what my personal experience with all of it has been. Also, time is a weird thing in this book, it doesn't quite make sense. The later chapters are better, but isn't that the thing with all first fics?) all characters right to CW
