"They took all of our food, our best ships, and a few of our younger men and children. Then, using their thundersticks, they grew strange fish tails in place of their legs, and they cursed the people they took to look the same. And they left us. And to this day, the curse remains upon the royal family. No one of us can touch the ocean without suffering. No one of us can leave this island without death lurking behind us like an ever present shadow.
"But it is said that their is a way to break the curse. One of the descents of our passed chief must venture out into the dark abyss of the ocean, facing indescribable peril, and seek the Heart of Tafiti. If they return the Heart to this island, only then the curse will be broken, and peace and safety restore to this island. But, until then, death rules over all, and no one can escape the iron grip of the evil Saleem!"
