In a world without the extraordinary use of magic, Natsu and Lucy are best friends, but also the servants to the King. Ordered around and beaten, the pair plan to escape and live together for the rest of their lives and not be seen. On the night of the great escape, the guards and King find out what they are doing. Quickly and regretfully, the jump through the window, and run for the woods. Unfortunately, the guards have horses and find them swiftly. Sleep back to back in the woods, slumbering peacefully. That's it! The guards injected them with a special serum that caused them to be seen as weird, and rare. Everyone in the kingdom pondered on their fates. They were too weird to live, but too rare to die.
