VOLUME THREE OF "A BUGHEAD STORY"
In order to fully understand the context of the story, please read the first two volumes of "A Bughead Story".
"Betty didn't have time to respond to Veronica's very subtle remark about her blossoming relationship with Jughead - before she knew it, two arms were wrapped around her hips and she felt a chin on the top of her head."
"Here's how we're going to work." Veronica showed Betty's study card while Jughead munched on a couple of chips. "One by one, we'll pick a card with a subject on it. Then, we ask three questions to the person on our right about the subject. Any questions?"
The night before an important history exam, Betty, Jughead, Archie, Kevin, Josie and Reggie meet at Veronica's to study. Or, at least, that was what they intended to do before Cheryl showed up univinted.
When a fight between Veronica and Cheryl ends up in a contest involving the whole gang, Betty doesn't have a choice. Paired up with Jughead, her (hiiii!) boyfriend, she decides winning is the best way to get through the night.
What she didn't know is that her blossoming feeling towards Mr. Jones might complicate it a little.

"What is going on with you?" she practically yelled. I looked at her and shrugged. "Seriously, Juggie. You're so damn confusing. One minute you act like you hate me the next you are defending me and acting like you love me. You make no sense" she ranted. She glared at me and I chuckled. "I love it when you call me Juggie. It's hot" I said and she continued to glare at me in silence. "I didn't know what I wanted before. I do now" I said casually. "Really? And what is that?" She fumed. "You, baby." I smirked. Betty moved away years ago when her parents divorced. Her mother wanted a fresh start in New York. Everyone promised to keep in touch but, of course, they didn't. Only her cousin. Cheryl stuck by Betty. Betty survived though. She made new friends and her mother remarried making Veronica her sister and best friend. Jughead was broken when Betty left. Losing her changed him. As the years wore on, he became darker and cruel. He joined his Dad in the Serpents and truly loved the gang lifestyle. Archie felt hollow since Betty left. He distracted himself with football and girls and had earned himself quite a reputation. Betty and Veronica became best friends while they're mothers dated. They both embraced the New York party lifestyle. Betty changed from a sweet, quiet girl to a bit of a wild child but kept her heart of gold. That is, until Betty and Veronica move to Riverdale with their mothers. Jughead and Archie are shocked to see Betty again. One of them view her as a challenge, the other as prey. After break-up, Jughead and Betty managed to be friends for entire year, having calls and texts, sharing things about their lifes in university. Jughead tried really hard to keep it that way until he couldn't. One drunken call and their lifes changed in many ways. They don't see each other often, only few times in past several years, but they keep leaving messages here and there, hurtful ones.
