VOLUME THREE OF "A BUGHEAD STORY"
  
  In order to fully understand the context of the story, please read the first two volumes of "A Bughead Story". 
  
  "Betty didn't have time to respond to Veronica's very subtle remark about her blossoming relationship with Jughead - before she knew it, two arms were wrapped around her hips and she felt a chin on the top of her head."
  
  "Here's how we're going to work." Veronica showed Betty's study card while Jughead munched on a couple of chips. "One by one, we'll pick a card with a subject on it. Then, we ask three questions to the person on our right about the subject. Any questions?" 
  
  The night before an important history exam, Betty, Jughead, Archie, Kevin, Josie and Reggie meet at Veronica's to study. Or, at least, that was what they intended to do before Cheryl showed up univinted. 
  
  When a fight between Veronica and Cheryl ends up in a contest involving the whole gang, Betty doesn't have a choice. Paired up with Jughead, her (hiiii!) boyfriend, she decides winning is the best way to get through the night.  
  
  What she didn't know is that her blossoming feeling towards Mr. Jones might complicate it a little. 
  
  Ten parts one-shot inspired by both the Archie Comics and Riverdale.

"What is going on with you?" she practically yelled. I looked at her and shrugged. "Seriously, Juggie. You're so damn confusing. One minute you act like you hate me the next you are defending me and acting like you love me. You make no sense" she ranted. She glared at me and I chuckled. "I love it when you call me Juggie. It's hot" I said and she continued to glare at me in silence. "I didn't know what I wanted before. I do now" I said casually. "Really? And what is that?" She fumed. "You, baby." I smirked. Betty moved away years ago when her parents divorced. Her mother wanted a fresh start in New York. Everyone promised to keep in touch but, of course, they didn't. Only her cousin. Cheryl stuck by Betty. Betty survived though. She made new friends and her mother remarried making Veronica her sister and best friend. Jughead was broken when Betty left. Losing her changed him. As the years wore on, he became darker and cruel. He joined his Dad in the Serpents and truly loved the gang lifestyle. Archie felt hollow since Betty left. He distracted himself with football and girls and had earned himself quite a reputation. Betty and Veronica became best friends while they're mothers dated. They both embraced the New York party lifestyle. Betty changed from a sweet, quiet girl to a bit of a wild child but kept her heart of gold. That is, until Betty and Veronica move to Riverdale with their mothers. Jughead and Archie are shocked to see Betty again. One of them view her as a challenge, the other as prey. Betty has other ideas though. Language warning and maybe some violence and dark material.

This is a Barchie story will include fictional scenarios after the events that occurred in 5x08. I know the ending of this episode was so disappointing so I am here to try to mend broken hearts like mine. Here is the Barchie storyline that we all deserve. We've patiently waited for far too long and since the writers can't give us the content we barchies deserve, I'll try my best to give it to you all. (book written March 2021-Nov 2021) (p.s: I wrote this story right after the premiere of the 8th episode, so this story is very different from the second half of the season, since at the time I was developing this story, Riverdale was on a three month hiatus and season five did not end until October). •••••••• "Betty. I may not be an FBI agent but I know what PTSD looks like" He pointed and I unconsciously fisted my hands. "don't do that" He begged in a whisper while reaching for my hands to keep me from digging my nails into my skin. Betty and Jughead are both 21 years old, they got engaged almost 2 years ago and have a 3 year old boy, Jayden. Jughead is a writer and also works at a construction site part time. Betty took over the Riverdale Register when her mom retired, it's a way to be home with Jayden when she can't find anyone to watch him. Money has always been tight for them ever since they moved into their own little house yet they always figured everything out... that was until Betty found out she was pregnant again 6 months ago, they both started getting more and more stressed getting ready for their baby girl to come, they would see less of each other and when Jughead would come home he would go straight back out to the bar, leaving Betty alone and pregnant with their 3 year old son.

Jughead tried really hard to keep it that way until he couldn't. One drunken call and their lifes changed in many ways. They don't see each other often, only few times in past several years, but they keep leaving messages here and there, hurtful ones. They hear things from their friends and family, but no, they don't wanna see each other. Jughead knows Betty likes to go out with Veronica and she works hard, she has a cat. Betty knows Jughead has a girlfriend, again, and he writes still. Now they have to meet after years, and they have one new thing in common besides the hate and their history, a job at the same office. ⚠️ mature language and scenes Also kind of a warning - slow burn.
