Tris has woken up in a strange room, surrounded by all her friends and beloved. However one thing confuses her; she is not dead.
Tobias, notably relieved at her conscious state, gives her the update on everything and how she is still in this world.
Tris becomes a training instructor for the new Dauntless initiates, Tobias is an instructor for the already-Dauntless initiates.
However revenge spikes up more than once when a member of Tris' group is attacked, determined to find out she must turn on friend and foe.
But above all of this, a shady character is thrown in who just make or break Tris, but what is Tobias' problem with him?
