She looked up and seen what looked like a familiar face but this time it wasn't covered in black strings. She slowly laid her hand in his as he slowly pulled her to her feet. Her heart was racing as she stared at the man before her. She didn't understand how he could go from the beast she saw to a perfect human being.

Katherine worked in New York for five long years and lived in New York her whole life. She was a cop and a good one at that. Her everyday life consisted of the same thing thief's and thugs always trying to start a riot. Katherine was in love with Shawn and they were engaged to be married. But now Katherine's whole world is going to get turned upside down when the city is destroyed by zombies. She works with a small group to try and find a cure for this epidemic. A Dr, an ex-military man and his sister and whatever other survivors she can find. 

Jaxon was a hard working military man up until they sent him home from the war only to arrive in another war all together. Jaxon could do nothing but try to survive in this literal man eat man world but he was different. Jaxon was bitten and for whatever reason he didn't die.....he changed. he turns into a zombie almost like a massive beast zombie and he can't control himself. He devours anything in his path even other zombies. 

That is until he meets Katherine for whatever reason he finds himself being able to control his zombie side better around her. But can he keep it under control? Can their Dr help him and maybe even cure him or will he just be this monster forever? It's up to Dr. Ryan to figure out if there is a cure but first he will have to confess hes sick. The 'things' are as you would call it zombies but of greater skill. They disguise themselves as humans yet they will not hesitate to kill you and eat you. If someone is a 'thing', automatically presume them dead, or at least soon to be dead. It will always take about 2 weeks to become fully changed, hopefully you can chop of that body part in time for the infection to stop. If you can't, put an end to your soon to be painful and horrible turn/death. These beings as I announced only a moment ago, look exactly like a human, two way to tell if they are one or not, their attitude and their eyes. They don't have emotions, only hunger and let me tell you, they will go out of their way to eat you, they will speak but it will sound different... Deformed almost. The eyes are usually the first to become infected, they become slightly red at first, as time progresses so does the intensity of the color red in the eye. The color in their eyes they once possessed, will seem dull, it will seem as if they are unfocused or unfamiliar with their surroundings. That is all I can tell you for the moment Lexi, but know their are people waiting for your arrival, and we are waiting for you to end this suffering race." Our male protagonist 'Aron' is smitten with our female protagonist 'June', however he doesn't show his emotions fearing that it will make him look weaker. He carries a strict and scary aura around him which makes people think that he is a ruthless person. On the contrary he is quite the opposite from inside. And our female lead carries a carefree nature who doesn't care about anything but herself. She is a savage quick witted person who can do anything for her own survival if required. When these two polar opposites crosses path with, we can expect a lot of drama and action, eventually seeing these fall for each other.
