Simon honestly had ever only had one love, and he expected it to be the only one. But after he is turned, and becomes a daylighter, things don't turn out the way Simon hoped for with Clary he turns to his new found friend, Raphael Santiago, the New York Clan leader of the vampires. He expected their relationship would be peaceful and he could be Simon's go to bro.
What Simon didn't expect was Raphael's stubborn, rude, obnoxiously handsome- I mean, obnoxious personality, and he DEFINITELY did not expect to fall in love with him either.
You see, the problems with loving someone like Raphael went like this;
1- Raphael wouldn't love Simon, or at least that's what Simon thinks
2- Simon couldn't be in love with his Clan Leader, that's not a good thing
And 3-...Well let's just say, sexual tension isn't the greatest conversation starter...
