Meet Jayrin Alters, THE definition of clumsy and unreliable and perhaps not the smartest student. Jayrin has attended Kingsley High School for the last three years and it's been smooth sailing so far - well as smooth sailing as it can be for a girl like Alters.

That is, until Kingsley's newest edition, a.k.a Axel Sanders enters the stage. Axel Sanders is the boy with issues, the boy everyone steers clear off, the boy no one wants to associate with, the boy who associates with trouble. But there's always secrets aren't there?

They meet once at school and meet again at the One Stop Orphanage, but it seems like their relationships between the two places are completely different. No one knows that Jayrin helps out at the orphanage, not even Axel. So how are they meeting and talking?
