Shinki is Gaara's adopted son and was born into a regular family at the outskirt of Suna. However, at birth, he was blessed with the power to manipulate sands and soon created his own iron sand to control similar to that of the 3rd Kazekage. As a infant, Shinki is unable to control his blessed power and often wreck damage to his home with his sands flying around, destroying everything it touches. Soon, his parents was victims and got hurt by his sands. Unable to take care of him, Shinki was abandoned at the age of 3. Still unable to control his power, he often hurt innocent people everywhere he go and people feared him. The news soon alarm the Office Building and Gaara went into action.
A/N: I haven't seen many stories about Shinki and thought I should write a story about his life based on my imagination (and maybe throw a little Gaara's childhood in there). Shinki is my 2nd most favorite character in the new generation behind his lovely cousin Shikadai so I thought, what better way to show my love to him than writing a story about his life? I am currently working on a new ShikaTema story (but writer's block right now...) and a sequel to my first story is 'To the past we go' (I hope it will come out soon... Also writer's block lol). Hope you enjoy this story about Shinki though!

Searching For Light (Naruto)
The seasons change along with the year. So much can change in one year. Than why do I feel the same? The only change about me is how further I went from the light. So deeper, and deeper I went into my own darkness, and hidden sorrow. Lying on my back, it almost feels like I'm floating.But I'm not, I'm falling. I don't fight it, I don't willingly let myself go either- or atleast I didn't. Not until everything happened. Now, I just allow the darkness that surrounds me, consume me. Nothing waited for me in the light, atleast not anymore. Atleast that's what I thought.... So there I laid... just letting time fly by. Just living, or atleast breathing. Then there's a hand. A hand that was reached out to.... me. Once again, I do nothing. As it tries to reach for me, I only fall deeper. I thought it will give up soon, but it was so persistent that I almost couldn't stand it. I was afraid. I didn't want it touching me. I didn't want help. I just wanted to be left alone. But at the same time... I didn't. As if a part of me was cheering it on to come save me from myself. To take me out of here, and help me see. Then that fear came back, and I pushed myself further in. It was dark and lonely. No one was there. Suddenly there was a boy with red hair and coral eyes (would that be his eye color?) He smiled at me and said "I'm here now.
