After Jace cheats on her, just because of one small fight, Clary leaves the city she's grown up in. After less than twelve hours, when she's at the point of getting killed by a demon she doesn't recognize, she is saved by the Delights.
Fast, they become friends, family. She finds out about other things that have been going on in the Universe, apart from the wars she's been through. Things other than creatures of this world. Way darker secrets than she's used too.
The Delights' leader, Delight, or so they call her, is one big secret to them all. Always wearing a black cloak, desperate to not show any skin. They do not know anything about her.
But what they do know, is that the number of Sacra's is raising, and that they are the only ones that would be able to do something about it.
So they go to New York City, Clary's hometown, because there are the most demons to be found, and killed.

Memories Are All She Has
This happens after the city of heavenly fire.(In the Mortal Instruments series) She walks in gracefully and says with so much venom, that I flinch, "Sit down and listen." I obey, sensing a very wrong and dangerous vibe from her. She continues, "I am Ms. Smith but you will call me madam." I reply, "And I am Clar-" "I know who you are if not why would I have summoned that demon to kidnap you," she interrupts, glaring at me. I am shocked, why would this lady kidnap me. I am completely perplexed. She must have seen it on my face because she says, "You killed Jonathan Morgenstern when all he did was love you. I HATE YOU. If you weren't there he would have loved me. Now I will take your loved ones away from you." I am just about to reply when she sends electrifying green sparks towards me which make me lose consciousness. When I finally up she says, "I have cursed you. When you leave this house it will be the day of your sixteenth birthday again but this time Simon won't remember you and neither will your other friends especially your lover, Jace. If you get close to them then they will all die after a year. No other warlock can reverse this spell." Clary gets cursed one night by a certain vengeful warlock. That one night turns her whole world upside down. She has no one to trust, to depend on, to love. Will she survive this like she survived everything else or will she lose herself along the way? On top of that horrible sundae of a life there's a cherry of danger to top it off. More and more problems pile up on her plate and she is burdened with all of it. By the way, this takes place before the events of City of Bones, it'll ease into that around the middle of the book.
