Alpha Zeke

"Ali, please, just give me a chance," Zeke begs.

"You know what, it'd just be best if I rejected you. Then this could all be over and you could find yourself a better mate and I could get back to my life. I don't need a mate anyway," I reply.

"You wouldn't," he says, clearly surprised I even brought it up.

"I will. I Alisha Allen reject you-" he cuts me off by slamming a hand over my mouth.

"Ali, please don't. You may not need a mate but I do," he says, I can see tears forming in his eyes. "Please, just give me a chance"

"A chance to what? Take me away from my friends, my family, the only home I've ever known? Take me to a strange faraway place where I don't know anyone? A chance to force me to mate with you, a complete stranger, to be tied together for life? A chance to be Luna and lead a bunch of people who I've never met? You see, you're asking me to give you a chance, but you're not sacrificing anything yourself," I rant.

Alisha Allen has everything she could possibly want. She has a big territory to run in, not many rivaling packs around, she's safe and sound at home. Whenever the topic of a mate would come up between her and her best friend, David, she always insists she doesn't have one. She's never wanted one and hopes she doesn't get one.

Zeke Forrest has been waiting for a mate for years, and is finally done waiting and decided to go out and find her. His journey leads him nearly a thousand miles away to a small pack of about 500, where he finds his mate sitting up in a tree, relaxing.
