Brooklyn Booker spent her entire life dreaming big. Her first priority? Get out of the small town she was stuck in her whole life and move to New York City. She had her mind made up, move away from everyone that ever hurt her and start her life as a theater actress; until her dream gets stomped on by her family. Her mother, father, and sister tell her she won't be able to make it, since she wasn't "talented" enough. Purely to spite them, she goes anyway and shows them what they are missing. Upon entering New York, she meets all these amazing new people and is overwhelmed by her newfound support.

It's been over a year since the strike has settled and the newsies haven't had any problems with Pulitzer since. But that's not to say that they didn't all have problems outside of work. Crutchie wanted for his long-time crush to love him back, although he knew that would never happen. Still, one could dream. Davey and Les's father had been severely injured by an incident at work.
