Ethereal [uh-thee-ree-uhl]: extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world

Now looking back at when we met, I didn't know him nor his name. He was just another boy I happened to run into, literally. It was never meant for us to happen, but by chance we did. It felt ethereal to think that a boy like him even existed. We paint out love to be this beautiful blessing of infinite colors. He was everything to me that I've never felt before. To being the first boy to ever touch me the way he did. He made the atmosphere feel like a thousand monarch butterflies getting ready to fly off. Moments with him made love feel so externally real.

Title: For Him, I Stayed Written by Sean - Photo not mine! Credits to the rightful owner! (This was originally named as "Love Her, Not Me") "He searched the world for love, never seeing it with him all along." Ray and Matthew met as freshmen in high school, instantly bonding over shared interests and a quiet understanding. Ray, the younger of two siblings, lived under the shadow of his older brother, Skyler, a well-liked, confident student who later pursued a medical career and married his high school sweetheart, Avilian. Matthew, in contrast, was an only child but had a sprawling network of cousins who filled his life with constant chaos and fun. During high school, Ray struggled with self-esteem. He was bullied for his appearance and withdrawn, relying on Matthew as a pillar of support. Despite Ray's insecurities, his gentle humor and genuine nature made him shine in Matthew's eyes, even if he didn't initially recognize the depth of Ray's affection. As they navigated high school, Ray secretly fell in love with Matthew, confessing his feelings not once, but three times, each time hoping for a different answer. Each rejection stung more deeply, eventually leading Ray to withdraw, hurt yet unable to forget. Now in their third year of college, Ray has grown from the insecure, pimpled high schooler into a confident young man with a striking new appearance. Meanwhile, Matthew, who once viewed Ray as just his best friend, finds himself missing the old closeness and wondering if he might have taken his friend's presence for granted. Caught between old heartbreak and new realizations, the pair stands on the edge of a shifting friendship that may yet bloom into something unexpected. ~A high school love story~💗 We sat just a few rows apart. Never close enough to speak... but always close enough to feel something. ANAYA wasn't the loud type. She didn't chase attention or talk about her feelings - but every single day, her eyes searched for him the moment she walked into class. Even when she told herself not to, they just did. And AARAV? He was the quiet mystery - the boy who never said much, but whose eyes always seemed to find hers in a crowded room. The boy who made silence feel loud. They never had a deep conversation. No flirty texts. No confessions. But there was always something - in the way he looked at her from across the room, in the way her heart reacted to it, in the way they both pretended not to care when their worlds clearly paused around each other. No one knew what Anaya felt. She never said a word. Because when feelings are real, they're scary. And what she felt for him? It was soft, quiet, and completely hers. Maybe he felt it too. Maybe he noticed her smile at the little things. Maybe he waited for her glances just like she waited for his. This isn't a story full of grand gestures. It's a story about slow love - the kind that lives between stolen glances, shared silence, and hearts too shy to speak. Because sometimes... the deepest love stories are the ones that never get told out loud ✌️#1 in love letters - June 9 2025
