Claudia Stone is a strong woman with a soft heart. She has always been one to help people in need, backed up by the fact that she runs an organization of people to work for the mankind's disadvantaged's welfare.

So, when Pasqual Romano, an ingenious businessman with a heart of gold, asks for her help―asks for a favor out of her―she should automatically be able to say 'yes,' shouldn't she? Well, probably not. Because this particular favor has nothing to do with Claudia's intellect or her NGO. It is, instead, all about putting up appearances, and playing make-believe.

She's never been much of an actress, but she is a great businesswoman. So if the shoe fits, what's the harm in exchanging a few acts of kindness?

Well, she's about to find out. And so is he.

If he was being honest, Pasqual felt like he'd never met a woman like Claudia. Such a powerful personality, and so dedicated to the betterment of mankind. She seemed like the kind of woman who knew exactly what she wanted in life, and wasn't afraid or even hesitant to go after it.

And, of course, she was also darn beautiful.

Shaking his head, Pasqual got into his car and started the ignition. Nothing good was gonna come out of falling for someone as enigmatic, established and ambitious as her. He'd probably end up with a broken heart and she'd be none the wiser.

Also, he didn't even know if he would ever meet her again. What was the point?

If only he'd known that fate had other plans.
