Georgina a retired social worker and her Siamese cat Sam settle down in the city of Pembroke.  They live in a two story brick house with high ceilings and  long windows with a view of the Ottawa River on one side and the flower garden.  When strange events start unfolding the owner of the pub next door Nicole and Georgina try to solve the mystery.
