Nine Years earlier, Zane Callen, a boy with inclination towards creation, had presented his heart-and a metal rose, which he had made himself-to a girl named Kanami Hanako. For both, the contract raises a question they are not ready to face: is there a possibility for love to grow in the midst of duty? Or shall the slits in their souls become so profound that even healing will not be possible? With a year on the countdown, Zane and Kanami must now now approach the question of whether this wedding is purely a transactional affair or takes an opportunity for, self-development, comfort and most importantly, true love.
