Everybody's gone and we don't know why

It's the end of the world. Every animal, every living being is gone. Dead, decomposed, and dead again. Very few remain, very few can survive. It would be more comforting if there were zombies, if there were bodies. There is nothing. Except for the very few people that managed to survive, but they don't know the others exist. There's a compassionate nerd, a tough greaser chick, a paranoid scientist, an outgoing transvestite, and a very submissive bodybuilder. When they do become aware of each other's existence, they form an unspoken bond, and continue to make their way through a world of disabled machines and invisible corpses.
