Though born royal, seventeen year old Sapphire West hadn't known so till recently.  With this new knowledge, the heir to the Neptunian throne begins to question her childhood. The long laborious hours of training with her step-father which had shaped her into a warrior. The continuous    sessions to master her element water as well as her unbelievably strong control over it.  But before answers arrive to these questions, more questions are thrown at her.

And then she is picked for the Venatio, a life-size treasure hunt that takes place every five years, along with five others to find the Chalice of Neptune. Her journey to Earth for the first time is frighteningly normal, much different to the tales told back home.

The whole experience brings into question the life she had thought she had lived. Through betrayal, hate and death, she catches glimpses of a larger and more wicked plot.
