The Other Side Of The Lens
"That was weird, but I can't stop my heart beating ten times faster than it should be. Laying down on the bed I face away from the bathroom door not wanting him to look at me. I pull the white cover up to my nose and look at the wall. I hear the bathroom door open and footsteps reach closer to the bed. The covers are being moved behind me as Mateo gets ready to sleep. I reach up to turn off the lap on my nightstand, and when I do we're left in the dark abyss of my room. Mateo's arm wraps itself around my waist and pulls me back into his hard chest. He gently lifts my head up and puts it back down onto his bicep. I take in a shaky breath and close my eyes deciding it is best to just sleep. Feeling his breath on the crown of my head, I'm more relaxed than I was before and start feeling sleepier by the second. But before sleep overtakes my mind. I hear Mateo mutter something. "Good night sweetheart." ~~~~~~ Moving on. Growing up. The fears of Mateo and Veronica. Two strangers who have been attending the same high school for the past three years. They believe they are different from each other but they have much more in common than they believe. Senior year things change when Mateo finds an interest in Veronica. She decides to give him a chance and see where the friendship goes. What she doesn't realize is that she's falling for him faster than she thought...and he feels the same. Through a camera lens, Mateo shows Veronica how to live her life to the fullest and that she is not alone in this big world. Meanwhile, Veronica is helping Mateo move on from the tragic incident that occurred in his family. Having faith and trusting that their relationship will stay strong. They decide to overcome whatever is thrown in their direction, and that there is always someone on the other side of the lens. ~~~~~~

Maya, a sophomore who has trouble with making friends, begins to like two guys; Tristan and Michael. Tristan is the really cute, popular social butterfly who is one of her best friends and Michael is the junior, sort of average boy with pretty looks in her history class. After Tristan kisses her and Michael begins to talk to her out of the blue, Maya realizes the consequences of being in love with two people and how bad it is to only pick one. ( A short story with more of a plot than this... i just decided to hide all the secret stuff away from you guys :D)

Maya Patel is just like any 25 year old. She goes to work, dates, hooks up with coworkers, and spends her lunch talking to her comatose best friend since middle school-Nick. The kicker is her very awake other best friend, Melissa, used to be Nick's finance before his motorcycle accident that landed him in his current state and now wants nothing to do with him-or, so she claims. Our story starts just as Nick wakes up from his two-year coma. The problem is he doesn't remember his past with Melissa. Even worse, he is claiming he has been married to Maya. Maya is put into the awkward situation of mending her friend's relationship and dealing with the fact that the man of her dreams is finally dreaming about her-even though it took a brain injury to get there. Friendships are tested, and relationships are cracked as trust between this trio slowly disappears. How will Maya navigate this new switch in their dynamic? Will their friendships survive? Will she be able to deny Nick's very tempting love in order to keep the peace?

Mayas flight to London got delayed for 24 hours. stuck at the airport in Germany and With most of the hotels booked her only option was to either stay at the airport and get some sleep on those hard plastic chairs. So, instead of being stuck at the airport knowing she's going to miss her cousins wedding. Maya decided to get to the train station. With no destination in mind. As she tries to figure out how the train tickets system works, a young man approaches her. While two make conversation the train arrives. passengers got on and off the train, and the young man walked backwards towards the doors of the train. "So, let's make some memories." He suggested, holding out his hand for her to take. Will Maya take the leap of faith and trust a complete stranger she just met or will she return to the airport and spend the next 24 hours on the hard plastic chairs while waiting for her flight ?
