When 16 year old Annabelle walks in from school to find a shadowy figure hovering above her dead mothers body her whole world collapses. Jason had been enjoying a quiet stroll in the neighbourhood when he had been alerted to danger, kicked down the door and burst in time to see the shadowy figure before it disappeared.
Annabelle's thirst for answers leads her to Jason and his world -the malos, supernatural creatures that have lived in our world since time began and the secret organisation he belongs to that is dedicated to fighting them. The two embark on a journey together to find out why Annabelle's mother was murdered. Will Annabelle find the answer's she's looking for and will Jason be more than just a means to helping her seek justice for her mother?
