I looked up to sky. It was nice and sunny. I turned to him to comment on the sun shining warmly in the clouds, and that it reminded me of him.
Instead, my words met air.
He wasn't there. Not anymore.

"It's going to rain, come on." he pulled my sleeve.
"But I like the breeze," I said, rooting myself to the ground as a strong wave of air blew at me. I loved the pre-rain weather. It was chilly, powerful, threatening - a storm just waiting to happen.
A smile made its way to his face as he grabbed my hand. "Let's wait for it to rain then, Ame." he grinned.
That was the day I received my first nickname. The day I thought that our friendship was going to last forever.
Oh, how wrong I was.
