It was just supposed to be a family flight Hawaii. A transfer at California, then on to Honolulu. But turbulence isn't supposed to crash planes. Engines aren't supposed to suddenly conk out. Pilots aren't supposed to keel over in the middle of a flight. But all this happened. Lucky there was an island nearby.
