She was simple. Sweet. Never stood out in the crowd. Her skin was tan and she had wavy hair that went down to her back.

She was happy. Optimistic. Looked at the world though a pair of rose colored glasses. Her skin was pale and covered in freckles. And her orange hair fell to her shoulders.

She was confident. Snarky. Was precieved as beautiful all of her life. Her skin was dark and had curls that went down to her waist.

She was insecure. A plain. Wanted everything she did to be amazing and nothing less. She was pale with hair straight hair that was right bellow her shoulders.

And even though they were all different they became inseparable. Best friends. And this is how that came to be.

how far would you go . . . for someone you love? ♔ Levi steps forward, placing himself between me and Jack. Like he's protecting me from him. But I don't need protecting, certainly not from Jack. "Who do you think you are, dude?" Levi spits, getting in Jack's face. "Look, Scarlett was just helping me out with a proj-" "I'm not your dude," Jack bites, and I want to tear my hair out of my head. This is going downhill very fast. Jack turns to me. "Scar, we need to talk," he says lowly. Then loud enough for Levi to hear, "So can you please get this kid to leave." "Hey, you don't get to come in here and start ordering her around," Levi says harshly. "You don't control her." "And you think that you do?" Jack spits. ♔ When Scarlett moved off to college, she hoped to start anew and find her way in this world alone. Two problems. One: her older brother goes to the same college, and it seems like he's everywhere, keeping her from doing everything she hoped to do as a college freshman. Two: her brother's devastatingly handsome best friend also seems hell-bent on ruining her college experience . . . but in a different way. Their paths keep crossing, and Scarlett is reminded of the powerful attraction that they've both ignored for far too long. Not to mention, a new face begins to occupy everyday Scarlett's thoughts. When Scarlett is paired with an allusive, darkly handsome stranger for a film project, her world begins to open in ways she never thought possible. But as his mystery unravels into dark secrets, she wonders if she's falling a bit too hard. Band aids were always a must have when we were kids. Whether it was the time you tripped while skipping rope, or fell off the monkey bars, or got into one of those fights with the local bully, "No, that won't do" "What are you talking about, it sounds great so far! It's a lot better than what I can do." "This college essay has absolutely no direction". "Well, why are you telling me to come read it so far? Can't you just ask Josh- I mean, he's smart-" He shot up from his desk. "You know I can't do that!" "Oh yeah. Right, sorry. Look, why don't you ask him out already". Noah blushed furiously. I can't do that. What if he's not... you know... into guys? A-and we're already good friends, I don't want to risk our friendship over this. I saw what he meant. He stopped writing and looked up at me. I asked him, "Would you spend the rest of your life with him?" He sighed and put his hand over his heart. "Of course I would. He means everything to me". "Well, I know you'll take good care of him. Just try to ask him out to the dance. He paused, and smiled. "You know what, maybe I will. Thanks Sadie". "No problemo,'' I grinned. As I turned to leave, he stopped me. "And who might you ask out to the dance?" --- Sadie Hawkins is your average tomboy soccer girl. Her best friend Noah is a good student and a bit of a nerd. As the day of the school dance draws nearer, they are more pressured to ask out the people they like. But what happens if the people they like happen to be their closest friends? She's lived the last 20 years trying not dwell on the traumatic hardships of her past as they constantly replay in the back of her mind. Made a promise to live a full (semi carefree) life, spreading love and joy, all the while never wanting (more like fearing) anything permanent. It can feel lonely, but it's how she's always coped. And with his own hardships, he's not looking for anything other than to have a good time and celebrate with old friends on their new chapter in life. Somewhat acquainted due to mutual friends from back in the wonderfully exciting years of puberty and teenage drama, two young adults reconnect in a new kind of way. Deeper and more complex than they could ever prepare themselves for. Keeping things casual is a lot easier said than done. The real question is, do they want to? ---------------------------------------------------------- "No te preocupes, Darlin'. I won't spill the tea" He takes a step closer. "This is just a little...... talk." The 25 year old is right there blocking the young mechanic, as he takes a few menacing steps towards the other man, again. He then lets out a breathy laugh at the worried look on the young woman's face. Looking towards the older man, eyes locked on his every movement. The younger man mangages to speak between his menacing laughter, in twisted amusement like its all a joke, "...Uh, I- ha- I ain't- I ain't-... I ain't gonna kill nobody." He looks around at no one in particular. "Nah, man. Just get even." He refuses to look towards the young woman.

She's just your ordinary girl. She has silk brown waves. Big chocolate brown eyes. She's really no one special. An average girl. With beyond extraordinary grades. So naturally it's where she's bound to turn when things get tough. She'll bury her nose in her books. Surround herself with schoolwork and block out anyone or anything that would destroy her. She's exactly who she wants to be. He's every girls dream superstar. The ideal boyfriend. The one that any girl would take home to mom and dad. He'll stand below her window and serenade her with beautiful melodies. He'll hold her hand walking to class. He'll smile when he calls her. He'll score the game winning point in any sport. But what happens when the girl he wants can't seem to understand she's more than just your ordinary girl. She's extraordinary.
