With a cross over of The Walking Dead, this story portrays the beginning events of the zombie apocalypse in the mid west, during the same time frame as the the city of Atlanta fell and while Rick had woken up from a coma in a local hospital. It shows how the virus was in full effect over seas and while its barely starting in the US.
Living in the same universe as The Walking Dead, previously in the first story No Greater Love, Cas was taken by a group of unknown men. The world as we know it fell apart before Deans eyes in a traffic jam in Springfield, Missouri. A mysterious outbreak forces a survival of the fittest to take hold as Dean must set out with his brother Sam and Sam's girlfriend to find the love of his life. Secrets are undug about a curse and what they thought was Lucifer's plan, turns out to be something much more dangerous.
